Sở giao dịch hàng hóa là công ty được bộ công thương cấp phép và quản lý để thực hiện giao dịch phái sinh hàng hóa.Sở giao dịch hàng hóa hoàn toàn giống với sở giao dịch chứng khoán việt nam hiện hành.

Được thành lập trước đây nhưng còn nhiều hạn chế bởi thông tư 158 và thông tư 40.Và thông tư mới đây thông tư 58 ra đời cho phép sở giao dịch hàng hóa liên thông với các sở giao dịch trên thế giới tạo cơ hội phát triển rất lớn cho thị trường hàng hóa việt nam.
